Paris. At the Carrousel du Louvre, the eclectic selection of Art Shopping strives to appeal to every budget.

Founded in 2007 by Myriam Annonay-Castanet, the art fair features some hundred booths this year, of which three-quarters are held by artists and the rest by galleries, particularly French galleries. Every medium is represented, especially photography, with a section consecrated to thirty photographers including Fab Rideti, whose work appears on the poster.

Private Choice prefers the seclusion of a private Haussmann-style townhouse in the 8th arrondissement, bedecked with works of contemporary art and designer objects by some thirty French and foreign artists. The fair founder, Nadia Candet, commemorates its tenth anniversary with the theme “Emerging talents”. Here, Mathias Kiss conceives of a guestroom, Laurent Pernot presents a frozen clock, and Gilles Pourtier exhibits a marble mask. The decor also includes tapestries by Claude Como, a bench by Morgane Tschiember, paintings by Olivier Masmonteil, and an armchair by Tawla which sits on a contemporary rug by Galerie Chevalier (Paris).

And there will be a change of scene for Offscreen: last year, it made its first foray into the historical spaces of the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschilwd. This year, the event founded by Jean-Daniel Compain and Julien Frydman moves into the surprising Grand Garage Haussmann, located near the Saint-Lazare train station. The guest of honour, Rosa Barba, will occupies an entire floor of the building, while the other levels feature a selection of works by some twenty other artists such as Victor Burgin, Eleanor Antin, Carmen Calvo, Leyla Cardenas, Daniel Canogar, Thomas Devaux, Thibault Brunet, Graciela Sacco and Elyn Zimmerman.
